The Machinist

This is a movie from 2004 Netflix recommended for me. It reminds me so much of another movie, but I just can't put my finger on which one! I started watching it thinking "That's Christian Bale!" "No, that can't be Christian Bale." "Honey, I think that's Christian Bale." I thought it was some independant foreign film when I started watching it. I later read that Christian Bale lost 60 lbs, getting down to 120 and wanted to get down to 99 for the film, but stopped at 120.

Besides being obsessed with watching how thin Christian is in this film, it is a good psychological thriller. I was trying to figure it out the whole time and even thought about it days later.
I'd give it a 3 out of 5. It's a little slow and really weird, but still worth watching.

THE GREEN HORNET

Where to start? DON'T Go. Taylor and I saw this in 3-D Imax. It was blurry, and no extra effort was put into the 3-D aspect. Horrible Dialog, lame story, awesome sidekick. I wouldn't spend the money to rent it. I might leave it on if it was on TV and I was cooking.
The best thing that came out of this movie? Taylor will tell you the preview for SUCKER PUNCH.
1 out of 5 stars.
Sorry Seth Rogan.

Purpose

What can I say? I'm a movie lover!!! I would mainly like to blame my bff from Jr. High, Kristi. We watched so many movies together! While doing some important crafts like... wait for it... plastic canvas! There were also many Bogle games, lots of sewing, and many sleepovers. One of my all time favorite movies would have to be THE PRINCESS BRIDE! I still remember seeing it for the first time at the Valley Fair Mall theaters. Yes, I know all of the lines. Don't even get me started. We enjoyed many movies together. One that stands out is SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS. It's a classic! Also, PRETTY IN PINK, and SOMEKIND OF WONDERFUL. Something I love from the 80's. The bratpack.

I wanted to share my love of movies on this blog. My husband, Taylor, would also like to share his movie opinions here and maybe even "man-ize" them a little. You know what I'm talking about! You see a movie, then your man is suddenly an expert on every stunt and explosion that happened in the film and needs to explain to you how that is sooooo impossible. ;) I pointed this out to him and now there has been a lot less man-izing, and I actually feel a little bad. You can man-ize all you want honey!

So please enjoy many a blog on the latest film my honey and I have seen together. He is my favorite to go to a movie with! We have our favorite Theater. JORDAN COMMONS! Do go enjoy it's fabulousness along with a Peach Fanta Zero in your refillable mug. It's nerdy, but we have come to accept it.
